| > What is a Debt Payment Programme?
In Scotland there is a unique solution called the 'Debt Payment Programme (DPP)' which is not available elsewhere in the UK. It takes place under the Scottish 'Debt Arrangement Scheme'. The Debt Payment Programme is similar to the Debt Management Plan. In both solutions you make lower payments over a longer period until your debt is paid off. The Debt Payment Programme, however, also gives you legal protection against the creditors. For this reason it is particularly good for people who are being threatened by the banks. In a DPP, your creditors reduce your payments and freeze all interest and charges. There is no debt written off like in a Trust Deed, but at least the monthly payment will be affordable. All you need to do is make a single monthly payment to an approved Payments Distributor who shares the money out amongst your creditors. > Need more information? Take the next step and contact us.
